Friends from birth!

This weekend Maggie and I went on an adventure to Phoenix to visit my best friend! We had an amazing time and surely many photos and thoughts will go into documenting this, but for now here is a sweet picture of Maggie and Bryson : )

Echo! Echo! Mr. Echo!

THERE IS NOTHING, NOTHING, LIKE THE LOVE OF A SISTER!!!

check out that braid :)

future conductor, perhaps?

She discovered that if she yells down the ac unit that it echo's. :)
When I was a nanny, those precious children taught me about calling "echo echo mr echo" in echo-y places. now i've taught my children!!!

Sidenote: I tried to talk Emily into putting a different dress this day, because I knew that she wore it just a few days ago, but apparently this is one of her favorites right now and she insisted on wearing it! :) Dress from: Crazy 8

Light of a clear blue morning

This song performed by Conspirare has been on repeat in my house and car for well over a week now. The entire piece compltely sumarizes where I feel like I am in life right now. I am calling it my song of the year… I seem to have no words to put my thoughts down in writing, but every word, and every note in this song explains what I’m trying to say.

Emily and me, we had some tea!

CHEERS!!!

Since this last Christmas, Emily and I have been enjoying having real life tea parties with Peppermint Tea. Yesterday the weather here was amazing so before bed I asked her if she’d like to have a tea party… outside!!!!We had so much fun just talking and laughing as we allowed our tea to cool down and to steep. Once we started enjoying our delicious peppermint tea her cuteness became too much to bare. I HAD to get my camera. HAD TO! She was LOVING it. She had decided that the best way to drink tea outdoors is for her to sit on her knees. That seemed to allow her to really enjoy every sip. :)
Oh goodness Emily. You are becoming such a lovely young woman. I love you so much!!! xo, Mom

SISTERS

One of my many, many prayers for you girls is that you will always be able to count and rely on one another. I absolutely love watching you girls play together. Lately after naps, Emily has been asking me to put her in the crib with Maggie so they can play. It’s AAAAdorable! :)

Mommy and Me Monday

I recently read an article that really convicted encouraged me to be sure that I am getting in the pictures with my girls not just hiding behind the camera. (click here for this awesome article) This is always something I feel like I’ve tried to do, but I most definitely haven’t published all the pictures because lets face it. Most of my photo ops with the girls have been as a way to kill some time on the harder days when we are home and it’s only 9am but feels like 10pm. But, since this is my online journal of my mom life with my girls, I figured I would go through all the pictures on my phone and pull a majority of photos that have me in the picture with my girls. Now, I feel a bit caught up… and I learned a thing or two….

melt my heart.

After looking through these, I learned that I wear pj’s a lot, which I don’t know how I really feel about that. Honestly, I think I’m okay with it only because I know it won’t last forever and between waking up, being mom, working, being mom, being mom, being wife, being mom, working, and trying to catch a breather I feel like I’ve earned a pj pass. :)
I learned that I make some really strange faces when taking pictures with the girls, and in far too many my mouth is wide open. haha! Oh well, at least I’m loving life and having FUN with these sweet girls!
I think I’m going to really focus on getting into the pictures more. Even if they are crappy phone photos, blurry, or less than flattering. I think they’ll like looking back on these… They certainly make me smile… or… laugh :)
My love to you all….
