Weekend Getaway

Well it happened! Will and I went away for a long weekend and we left the girls with Barrie and Nancy! :) It was my first time away from both girls and I won't lie- it was so very hard to leave. Why is that?! It was so nice to have a few days to focus on each other and on realizing how very much we love those little girls. Our world would not be the same without them in it.

We spent 4 days in Austin... More specifically, the Georgetown, TX area. It is so beautiful there. We were able to explore the area, do some shopping, some walking around, some driving (it's so lush and green there... it's amazing!) and we made it a point to eat at places that we don't have here at home.

The first night we ate dinner at a place called County Line on the Lake. We sat out on the huge back patio that had lots of fans and a lovely breeze going. We backed up to a lake where people seriously drove their BOATS to dinner!!!!!!!! Ahhh... bucket list thing... I want to hop in a boat to cruise down the river to dinner one night. Yes, please!!!

Lots and lots of turtles were in the lake. It was crazy, the dock had no fence or anything... very easy to fall in... and one little boy did. He was probably 7 or so, and he was cryyyying after the fact. How scary, and kinda funny! but only funny cause he was ok! :)

My parents were celebrating their 16th anniversary this weekend so they decided to join us and explore Austin alongside us. So nice to have adult time with them and no kiddos. Just love them.
Very hot and humid, but the fans and breeze really made all the difference for our outdoor dining experience.

Mommy's Cup! Mmm-mmm

Happy Anniversary you two! We love you and had such an unforgettable weekend with you! xo

My New Ride

I honestly feel like I have 50 million posts to catch up on, and when that happens I never seem to know where to begin. Back pedaling seems so hard at times! But today, the girls and I were able to pick up my new sweet ride! We have very quickly outgrown my hyundai and have been truly needing more space, but not only did we need more space, we really wanted to buy a lovely used car so that we could cut our current payments down and then work really hard to have it payed off quickly so that we can eliminate that debt from our monthly life. So, meet my new old car. She's a 2006 Ford Explorer and in great shape. I am praying that she will last our sweet family many great years of use. Who know's the places she'll be taking us, but I'm happy she's mine!
